An offline route app for waste haulers on county roads

RouteFlow turns a waste hauler's billing export into ordered routes. Drivers work from a tablet that keeps going with no signal.

RouteFlow demo, with sound. Sample data.

The problem

Waste haulers still print route sheets, check in by radio and learn what happened at the end of the day. Drivers on county roads lose signal.

What it does

  • Takes the billing export the office already has.
  • Puts stops in route order.
  • Flags addresses it cannot place before a route is approved.
  • Keeps working on the driver's tablet with no signal and syncs when coverage returns.
  • Updates the office map live.

It runs in production on the customer's own AWS account.

The decision behind it

One of Dawood's six rules: The constraint makes the product

Drivers lose signal on county roads, so RouteFlow was built to work offline first.
